Dowsley Residence
About This Project
Entertaining was the watchword for KT interiors design focus on the Dowsley Residence. It is the North Shore’s most significant heritage home, originally built by Mr. Thomas Nye in 1919. The project comprised a renovation of a 6500-square-foot home.
Our mandate for this home, was to bring the home back to its glory with some modern flair. The home has 6 bathrooms and 7 bedrooms; we created a unique design for each bathroom and bedroom while still maintaining continuity throughout the home. The team created an interior vision of luxurious understatement. In the well-appointed kitchen, simple greige cabinetry was warmed up with a backsplash of white Italian marble and platinum mosaic. The effect, there and throughout the home, is one of discipline and serenity.
